Why nitric oxide is a paramagnetic in the gaseous state but, the cooling state in its diamagnetic

 Questions :Why nitric oxide is  a paramagnetic in the gaseous state but, the cooling state in its diamagnetic ?

In the gaseous state No2 is exist as monomer Which has one unpaired electron but, in the solid state it's dimerize to N204 so, the numbers of unpaired electrons left . therefore ,No2 is paramagnetic is in the gaseous state but , diamagnetic in solid state
