 Question : What is Polymers and monomer ?

• Polymers 

       It is a compound of  large molecules having High molecular mass .it's  formed by high molecular           mass .it is formed by joining small repeating  units monomer  by the process of polymerization  

 .      For  Example of Polymer : ethene (monomer ) form Polymers polythene .

• Monomer  

         These are the simple molecules which unit through chemical bonds  either by additional or                     condensations polymerization are called monomer  

          For example of  monomer  :Glucose, Amino acid 

Question : What the  natural and synthetic polymers .Give  example of natural and synthetic polymers ?

• Natural Polymers 

 these Polymers which  commonly found in plant   and animals are called natural Polymers

For example of natural Polymers : starch , cellulose, Proteins etc.

• Synthetic polymers

These are polymer in which  polymer are synthesized with the help of chemical in industries are called synthetic polymers 

For example of synthetic polymers  : polythene, nylon 66 , synthetic rubber etc.

There are two types of polymers:

• Homopolymer 

A polymer in which a single type of monomer are used ,is called  homopolymer  For example:  polyethene , polystyrene etc..

• Copolymer 

A polymer in which the monomer are More than one type is called copolymer
